Using Your List

Keep the list in a central location and make sure everyone in your home knows where it is. If you have kids and leave them with a babysitter, be sure that the sitter is aware of the list and its location. It's also a good idea to have each family member keep a copy of the list somewhere they can access it easily, even when not at home. You may want to have your kids keep a copy in their book bag, for example. Adults can keep a copy in their purse or briefcase, or in the glove box of each vehicle.

The key is to ensure that you - and everyone in your family - have easy access to get in touch with people who can help in an emergency situation. You might never need the list at all, but it's certainly best to be prepared in case the need arises.
